Meet the Gang Again: The Cast of "When Harry Met Sally 2"

Hello there, movie buffs! Buckle up as we dive into the exciting world of a hypothetical sequel to the iconic rom-com, "When Harry Met Sally." We're going to chat about the cast of When Harry Met Sally 2, because who wouldn't want to see those lovable characters back on the big screen? So, grab your popcorn and let's get started! Guys, explore more in Guides And Explainers and cast of when harry met sally 2.

The OG Duo: Harry and Sally

Let's kick things off with the dynamic duo that made us laugh, cry, and question our own beliefs about love and friendship. We're talking about none other than Harry and Sally, played by the incredibly talented Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan.

Billy Crystal as Harry Burns

Billy Crystal, the comedic genius who brought Harry to life, is a no-brainer for a sequel. We'd love to see him reprise his role as the cynical yet lovable Harry. With his quick wit and perfect timing, Crystal could effortlessly slip back into the character who famously asked, "What if this is as good as it gets?" We're hoping that in "When Harry Met Sally 2," Harry has finally found his "as good as it gets" moment.

Meg Ryan as Sally Albright

Meg Ryan, the sweetheart who played Sally, would undoubtedly bring the same charm and warmth to the character in a sequel. From her iconic "I'll have what she's having" scene to her heartfelt delivery of "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible," Ryan's Sally has become a rom-com staple. We'd be thrilled to see her pick up where she left off, perhaps with a few more laugh lines and a few less worries.

The Supporting Cast

No great love story exists in a vacuum, and neither did Harry and Sally's. Here are some of the supporting cast members we'd love to see back in action.

Carrie Fisher as Marie

Carrie Fisher's hilarious and no-nonsense Marie was the perfect best friend to Sally. While Fisher is no longer with us, perhaps a heartfelt tribute and a flashback sequence could honor her character and the incredible actress who brought her to life.

Bruno Kirby as Jess

Bruno Kirby's Jess was Harry's best friend and wingman. Although Kirby has also passed away, a similar tribute could be paid to his character, allowing Harry to reminisce about old times and perhaps even learn a thing or two about love from his late friend.

Lisa Jane Persky as Amanda

Lisa Jane Persky's Amanda was Harry's fiancée who ultimately didn't make the cut. We'd love to see her return, perhaps as a successful businesswoman who's now divorced and looking for love again. Maybe she and Harry could finally have that mature conversation they never got around to in the first film.

Steven Ford as David

Steven Ford, the son of President Gerald Ford, played Sally's first boyfriend, David. It would be fascinating to see how David's life has unfolded since the first film, especially if he's now a family man who's learned a thing or two about love and commitment.

New Faces

Of course, a sequel would also call for some fresh faces. Here are a few actors we think would be perfect additions to the "When Harry Met Sally" universe.

Emma Stone as Lily

Emma Stone could play Sally and Harry's daughter, Lily. With her incredible comedic timing and ability to play both drama and comedy, Stone would be the perfect choice to carry on the legacy of her on-screen parents.

Ryan Gosling as Tom

Ryan Gosling could play Tom, a charming yet mysterious new love interest for either Sally or Harry. With his boyish good looks and undeniable chemistry with any leading lady, Gosling would undoubtedly bring some heat to the screen.

Awkwafina as Maya

Awkwafina could play Maya, a quirky and lovable new best friend for Lily. With her unique sense of humor and ability to steal any scene she's in, Awkwafina would be a fantastic addition to the cast.

The Director and Writer

No "When Harry Met Sally" film would be complete without the incredible creative team behind the original. We'd love to see director Rob Reiner and writer Nora Ephron return for a sequel, ensuring that the heart, humor, and honesty of the original film are carried on.

So there you have it, folks! The cast of When Harry Met Sally 2 we'd love to see. Of course, this is all just wishful thinking, but a girl (or guy) can dream, can't she? Until then, we'll just have to keep rewatching the original and quoting our favorite lines. "I'll have what she's having!"
