Hello, everyone. We're here today with heavy hearts to discuss the passing of a man who touched the lives of many - Douglas Kiker. Who Was Douglas Kiker?

Douglas Kiker was born on March 12, 1955, in the small town of Greenville, Alabama. He was the eldest of three siblings, raised by loving parents who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and integrity. These values became the cornerstone of Doug's character, shaping him into the man he was.

Doug was a man of many talents. He was a skilled carpenter, a passionate musician, and an avid outdoorsman. But above all, he was known for his warm smile, his infectious laughter, and his ability to make anyone feel at home in his presence. He was, in every sense of the word, a genuinely good man.

A Life Dedicated to Service

Doug spent his life serving others. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served proudly for four years. Upon his return, he began a career in construction, using his skills to build homes and communities. But his service didn't stop there. He was a dedicated volunteer at his local church, a mentor to young boys at the Boys & Girls Club, and a tireless advocate for veterans' rights.

His wife, Linda, often said, "Doug didn't just talk about making the world a better place; he got out there and did it." And he did, with a smile on his face and a song in his heart.

Douglas Kiker's Family

Doug was a devoted family man. He married Linda, his high school sweetheart, in 1978. Together, they had two beautiful children, Emily and Jake. Doug was a loving father, always there to cheer his kids on at their games, help with homework, or just sit and talk about life.

His grandchildren, Lily and Max, were the apples of his eye. He loved spending time with them, teaching them about fishing, playing music, and telling them stories. His laughter filled the room when they were around, and his love for them was evident in every moment they shared.

Douglas Kiker's Passing

Doug passed away on April 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. His passing was sudden, but his impact on the world was not. He left behind a legacy of love, service, and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
